Camp Hope
Camp Hope is an Appalachian service project, first organized in 1977 by the pastor of Frostburg United Methodist Church. The program offers free services to repair the homes of disadvantaged families living in Allegany County, MD, and neighboring communities in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Hunt’s UMC has been sending a contingent of youth and adults to Camp Hope since the summer of 1991. Groups stay at Frostburg State University and participate in fellowship and worship activities with other groups participating in the project. Contact the church office if interested in this exciting and fulfilling mission.
